Summary
As a member of CFS Brands, The Warehouse Supervisor for the second shift will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all warehouse activities during the evening hours. You will lead a team of employees in different functional areas in the warehouse environment including inbound, outbound, picking, packing, storing, etc. to ensure smooth operations and comply with safety procedures.

Working in our Oklahoma City, OK DC and reporting to the Manager, Distribution Center, this position is responsible for supervision of distribution operations on the 2nd-shift. The Supervisor has direct oversight of inbound operations, order fulfillment and inventory control while supporting safety and cost control (adherence to operating budget and productivity improvement). The position is tactical, requiring strong floor leadership with an emphasis on team-building and continuous improvement (Lean) initiatives.
The DC Supervisor must have a minimum of 3 years of “hands-on” experience supervising DC operations (receiving, putaway & materials handling, order fulfillment, replenishment, shipping, and cycle counting). The role requires frequent interaction with site leadership and periodic communication with our corporate office and other functional areas, including manufacturing and quality.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Supervises 2nd-shift activities in the Oklahoma City Distribution Center. Ensures the DC team operates with a “safety first” mindset and consistently meets or exceeds operational and service metrics.
Develops and implements work schedules to maintain effective and efficient operations. Coordinates inbound and outbound workflows to effectively leverage resources and equipment.
Provides continuous floor leadership. Maintains formal (daily stand-ups, performance appraisal, coaching & counselling) and informal (feedback to employees) communication to energize the operation, promote teamwork and accountability, and drive results.
Responds to and resolves employee relation’s issues. Promotes a high-quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level. Addresses disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy.
Supports the Receiving Supervisor (de-containerization, receiving, and putaway) and Inbound Supervisor (replenishment, consolidation, and cycle counting) to meet 2nd-shift objectives. Ensures counts are completed immediately and properly to minimize “Can’t Finds.”
Maintains the DC in an inventory and audit-ready condition. Ensures that the operation meets standards for handling and storage. Establishes proper housekeeping and inventory organization to prevent product mix-ups, damage, deterioration, contamination, or other adverse effects.
Participates in recruitment and selection process for new employees and temporary labor. Assists DC Manager and Human Resources in employee onboarding. Provides new hire orientation for safety, on-the-job training, scheduling, and employee support.
Trains, develops, and mentors direct reports. Assists in conducting job breakdowns and training (TWI) and oversees cross-training program to provide greater operational flexibility and enhance employee job satisfaction. Coaches and develops functional area leads.
Sponsors and participates in continuous improvement initiatives and fosters a Lean culture through 5S, formal problem solving/Kaizen events, standard work, and Daily Management. Oversees root cause analysis to poke yoke solutions to non-compliance and defects.
Supports Quality Management System and corporate training & development program with proper document control and employee training. Ensures standard work (SOP’s and work instructions) is current and effective. Collaborates with CFS management to address complaints and CAPA’s.
Supports Oklahoma’s safety (behavior-based) program. Attends monthly meetings and assists with OSHA-mandated training for all employees (DC and office). Engages in hazard mapping events and assists Oklahoma City's Safety Champion and EH&S team on all safety and environmental-related issues.
Ensures completion of administrative tasks for areas of responsibility; including Time & Attendance (ADP), Daily Management (SQDC, process charting), DC KPI input, and Powered Industrial Training and inspection records.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree is preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
High School Diploma required.
