Description

The Engineering Technical Recruiter will lead talent acquisition efforts for engineering and technical roles across the organization. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers and business unit leaders to identify staffing needs, design and implement recruitment strategies, and attract top-tier engineering professionals.

This role requires strong relationship-building skills with candidates, universities, professional organizations, and industry networks to ensure a robust pipeline of qualified talent. The recruiter will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, promote the company’s employer brand, and stay up to date on market trends and workforce developments.

Experience: 3-5 year's experience in Technical Recruiting (Engineering Sectors Preferred)


What You’ll Do

Talent Acquisition & Sourcing 

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify qualified engineering candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and referrals. 
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of passive and active candidates for current and future hiring needs. 
  • Leverage and maintain LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Glassdoor and niche engineering platforms to find top talent. 
  • Maintain and update job postings across multiple platforms. 
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate logistics between candidates and hiring teams. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate interviews with hiring managers and technical teams. 
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with candidates. 
  • Collect candidate feedback and help improve the interview experience. 
  • Provide support for relocation or visa processes when applicable. 

Stakeholder Collaboration 

  • Partner with engineering and project managers to understand hiring needs and role requirements. 
  • Advise hiring teams on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and candidate availability. 
  • Collaborate with HR and department leads to ensure alignment with workforce planning. 

Process Management 

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting to offer acceptance. 
  • Maintain accurate records in the current applicant tracking system (ATS), Paycom. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., EEO, OFCCP). 
  • Represent the company at career fairs, university events, and industry conferences. 
  • Support employer branding initiatives to promote the company as an employer of choice for engineers. 
  • Create engaging job descriptions and recruitment marketing materials. 
  • Track and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness. 
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize recruiting strategies. 

Candidate Experience 

  • Ensure a positive and professional experience for all candidates. 
  • Communicate clearly and promptly throughout the hiring process. 
  • Gather feedback to continuously improve candidate engagement and satisfaction.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting to offer negotiation. 
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified engineering candidates for current and future roles. 
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. 
  • Stay current on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitive hiring practices.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in technical recruiting, preferably within engineering sectors. 
  • Experience recruiting for roles in civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. 
  • Experience with university recruiting or early career programs. 
  • Prior work in an engineering consulting or project-based environment.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Technical & Industry Knowledge 
  • Familiarity with engineering terminology, job functions, and career paths. 
  • Understanding of industry-specific certifications, licensure, and educational requirements. 
  • Experience using our applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Handshake, Glassdoor). 
  • Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Skills 
  • Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates. 
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills. 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and hiring compliance (e.g., EEO, OFCCP). 
  • Communication & Collaboration 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and cross-functional teams. 
  • Skilled in presenting job opportunities and company culture in a compelling way. 
  • Organizational & Analytical Skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously. 
  • Experience tracking and reporting recruitment metrics and KPIs. 
  • Ability to analyze hiring trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
