JOB SUMMARY

The Sterile Processing Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD), ensuring that surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and distributed in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leadership and management with a focus on coverage and performance, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement. Operations and workflow with a focus on daily operations of the entire sterile process from decontamination to distribution, coordination with surgical services and support departments. Responsible for compliance and quality assurance. Budget and resource management to include departmental metrics, equipment maintenance and upgrades.  Special attention to on-going colleague and training and development.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education:

- High School Diploma or GED- Required

Certification & Licensures:

- CRCST within one (1) one year of hire date- required

Experience:

- Minimum of one year supervision or three years general Sterile Processing work and ability to manage personnel.
