The Role
The Finance Systems Manager (SAP Focus) will play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Premium for the Events business. Working closely with finance and business stakeholders, this role will be responsible for translating business requirements into SAP configurations, ensuring robust financial processes that scale across the company's global operations.
The role spans system configuration, data migration, testing, user training, and ongoing support across SAP financial modules such as FI, CO, and Treasury. This is a hands-on position requiring expertise in SAP functionality, integrations, and compliance, while supporting business growth through acquisitions and new business models in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with finance stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, focusing on SAP Public Cloud Premium.
Configure and customize SAP FI/CO/Treasury modules to align with business processes (AP, AR, GL, asset accounting, cost controlling, consolidations).
Lead/support end-to-end SAP implementations: data migration, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
Develop integrations between SAP and enterprise applications (e.g., banking platforms, M365, BI/reporting tools).
Troubleshoot SAP-related issues, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
Create and deliver training, process documentation, and support materials for finance teams.
Support financial close processes, reconciliations, and reporting cycles with SAP-enabled automation.
Contribute to M&A integration projects, aligning acquired businesses onto the company's SAP ecosystem.
Partner with vendors on system upgrades, release management, and technical enhancements.
Monitor performance, conduct data audits, and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
Research and apply emerging SAP innovations (AI-driven analytics, automation, predictive forecasting).

Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
Significant experience in finance systems management with SAP ERP (S/4HANA preferred).
Hands-on experience with SAP Public Cloud Premium or equivalent cloud ERP.
Strong understanding of FI/CO, Treasury, reporting, and compliance processes.
Proven experience in data migration, configuration, and SAP integration projects.
Industry background in events, entertainment, or media (desirable).
Exposure to automation, AI, or advanced analytics in SAP (advantageous).
Experience supporting M&A finance system integration.
Skills & Abilities
Expert in SAP module configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
Skilled in financial process analysis and implementing improvements.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent.
SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting) strongly preferred.
ITIL/Project Management training (advantageous).
Experience with financial compliance frameworks (SOX, IFRS).
