Theatre Administration Assistant
Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital, Nottingham
Full-Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join the Theatre Department at Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital. The role will be varied providing assistance to the theatre manager, including scheduling theatre lists and staff. The responsibilities will be numerous but will be focused on, booking appointments, scheduling staff rotas and dealing with telephone enquiries.
Excellent communication, time management and computer skills are essential for the role. The ideal candidate will have good administration skills and have the ability to organise and prioritise the workload whilst working under pressure and part of a team. You will need to be a good communicator (with experience, face to face and via email, letter and the telephone) and be able to liaise with clinicians, staff and visitors to the unit at all levels. High customer care standard is required.

The site on which Woodthorpe Hospital now stands has provided healthcare to the people of Nottingham since 1877 and is conveniently located towards the north of Nottingham city centre, with excellent on-site parking facilities and access to public transport nearby. Today, we are a modern well-equipped hospital with 41 private bedrooms (all en-suite) and two operating theatres. We are constantly developing our services and are proud of our comprehensive range of specialist departments and the high standard of care that they allow us to offer all of our guests.
What you'll bring with you
Previous experience of patient and administration systems would be an advantage
Have sound computer / IT skills
Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with consultants, colleagues, patients and visitors on a day to day basis
Provide a high level of customer service by responding efficiently to telephone calls, enquiries and requests
Be able to work in a team
Be able to work under own initiative and have an ability to prioritise own workload
