HEDGE FUND SERVICES- Technical Co-Ordinator, FIXED INCOME AND ALTERNATIVE ASSETS

ROLE

The job requires working for a Global Hedge Fund Administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. The position involves understanding of various complex instruments like Bank Debt, Fixed Income Products, Alternative Assets and Privates. It also requires good experience and knowledge in using various third party sources of information like Bloomberg, Reuters etc. as well as back office and middle office settlement processes.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Understanding of day to day operational activities of fund of fund investments & private equity & private Fixed Income
• Break Resolution of fixed income instruments like MBS, ABS, Bank Loans/ syndicated loans, privately held securities.
• Good understanding of lifecycle events of bank loans like rate sets, PIK, pay downs etc. , including settlement of Bank loans.
• Sound knowledge of various financial instruments like Mortgage bonds, securitization, private equities & mutual funds.
• Analyze and identify discrepancies between client’s position and clearing agents with good troubleshooting skills.
• Liaison effectively with team members, internal groups and external counterparties including NT Custody Services and Execution with NT as well as external parties.
• Should be able to handle critical queries/issues and escalate on a timely manner.
• Ensuring deliverables are adhered to as per agreed SLAs.
• Issue escalation and resolution on a timely manner.
• Respond quickly and accurately to queries in a high volume, time sensitive trading environment.
• Developing action plans for resolution of outstanding issues.
• Should be capable of adding and reviewing various control checks & performing reviews.
• Should have the ability to maintain various MIS reports.

  • Ensure timely & accurate reports & accounts for a range of clients
  • Provide input to process changes which would result in greater operational efficiency
    Direct liaison with both clients and auditors
  • Supports the team manager in ensuring operational efficiency
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate financial statements and reports for a designated group of funds
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to more junior team members, support the Team Leader with respect to workflow distribution and ensuring the effective the use of staff resources
  • Identify, document and disseminate new procedures and controls
  • Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
  • May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
  • Technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
    Delivers a work product that requires less revision

• Excellent/advanced knowledge of Excel with VBA experience being a plus; should be familiar with MS Word & Office tools.

• Adaptive, flexible style with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Should be flexible for night shifts and extended working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Financial Services environment, preferably 2 years of experience in Alts, Bank Debts, FI and Privates with a minimum of 2 years in the Current role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Business exposure to various Financial Instrument and trade life cycle.

Eligibility for Internal Partner

- 24 months as a Senior Analyst to move as a Technical coordinator/Associate Consultant.
- Movement within TC and Associate Consultant is 12 months
