Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Controller / Senior Materials Controller to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This role will suit residents in the Karratha area and will be based in the King Bay Supply Base on the Burrup Peninsula. Whilst Offshore travel may be required from time-to-time, predominately you’ll be working from a key client’s onshore facility on a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Materials & Logistics Lead and the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking the effective receipt, storage, movement and control of all materials to support the business and for liaising with other Supply Chain, end user groups, third parties and our client’s Supply Base & Marine contractors to ensure that all materials and equipment are received, marshalled and shipped in accordance with company procedures and internal controls.

Qualifications
You must have full work rights to work in this Australian location.
Ideally, you will hold a post-secondary qualifications from a recognised institution and have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in materials / logistics within the Oil & Gas industry. You will also have:
- Qualifications for dangerous Goods by Sea & Air
- Manual handling / Forklift licence and experience
- MSIC and TBosiet Certifications
- Varied and detailed work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key material control and logistics concepts and principles
- Previous experience with ERP systems (i.e. ERM, Maximo, Oracle, SAP)
- The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and coordinate & prioritise activities accordingly
- Be commercially astute with a “solutions mindset”, sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements.
- Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.
What will set you apart is your demonstrated experience in Materials Handling / Logistics (including manual use of equipment) and best practice knowledge of warehousing of O&G materials as per industry & client standards.
