About Us

ORG is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the NSW land title system. It regulates the concession of NSW’s land titles registry and oversees providers of electronic conveyancing services in NSW.

The Regulation and Compliance team is responsible for operationalising the concession arrangements, managing governance and reporting as well as advising on strategic issues. The team is also responsible for regulating Electronic Lodgment Network Operators in NSW and day to day management of government customers.

About the Role

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Advisor, Governance and Assurance to join our Regulation and Compliance team at the Office of the Registrar General. Reporting to the Contracts and Compliance Manager, the Assistant Advisor, Governance and Assurance will join a friendly team in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively to deliver a range of governance and assurance support functions for the efficient operation of ORG. A key focus is coordinating all aspects of regular governance forums with our regulated entities and government agency partners.

The right applicant will be a team player, comfortable with ambiguity, who enjoys working with others in recurrent business as usual activities along with to develop innovative solutions.

About you

ORG is looking for someone who can prioritise work in a high-volume environment to meet competing demands with conflicting and critical deadlines in order to maintain high-quality outcomes.

This role will involve: 

  • Governance experience, including providing administrative and business support for high level governance and stakeholder meetings.
  • Acting as the point of contact with key stakeholders by responding to enquiries, providing information and advice in an effective and responsive manner.
  • Project management skills, to set priorities, manage multiple stakeholders and deliver work within set timeframes.
  • Assisting in preparing and refining presentations, consultation papers and other stakeholder engagement materials, using PowerPoint and other Office365 tools.
  • Willingness and ability to become involved in relevant areas (such as the State Records Act) and set up new processes and procedures to meet business needs.
  • Knowledge of digital reforms (or willingness and ability to acquire a working knowledge).
  • Strong communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to work both with teams and with a high level of autonomy.
