VAPA Specialist II - Instrumental Music at Moreno Valley Unified School District

The VAPA Specialist II - Instrumental Music provides specialized instruction to music students across multiple sites within the district. This itinerant position requires the coach to work at various school locations, offering instrumental music lessons focused on a specific family of instruments (e.g., strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the assigned instrumental family and a passion for promoting musical growth. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the position involves teaching multiple classes with non-consecutive scheduling.

Education and Experience: 1. Proof of graduation from high school or equivalent. 2. Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Music, or related field OR enrollment in post secondary performing arts coursework applicable to the specific role (required) 3. 3+ years experience performing and/or coaching in marching arts as it relates to show design, routines, practices, and section techniques and fundamentals.
