The Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Out-Patient Cardiology Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working closely with all 20 physicians in the group, our Nurse practitioner will assist in managing high acuity post-op patients with the best care possible.
- Cardiovascular issues include but not limited to acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease, peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and venous thromboembolism/pulmonary embolism in our outpatient setting with collaborating physician.
- Will assist with medication adjustments dependent on patient's clinical status.
- Post operative cardiac evaluation.
- Order diagnostic studies, tests, labs and review pertinent labs/studies (nuclear imaging testing, EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, etc.).
- Review telemetry readings
- Educate patient on diagnosis, medications, dietary restrictions related to cardiovascular disease.
- Communicate with other specialties regarding patient care.
- Will also perform and supervise stress echoes in the office.

- This is a 5/8's role and will comprise of 100% out-patient care.
- The general working hours for this position will between: 8am to 5pm.
- There is no operating room or in-patient duties with this role.
- There are no weekends with this role
Candidates interested in this position MUST possess at least 1-year minimum experience in Cardiology, Cardiac, telemetry, or ICU.
***Prior or current experience working in a high acuity setting is REQUIRED***
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.
- MSN Degree Required
License/Certification Requirements:
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain.
- Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioner
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience:
- Minimum one year Nurse Practitioner experience is required.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an Advance Practice Nurse strongly strongly preferred.
