Mail Clerk / Dock Attendant at ROBINSON PARK

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages from the loading dock. Record keeping of deliveries and communicate with state agency representatives. Responsible for sweeping and maintaining cleanliness of loading dock area. Work with onsite security and assist with traffic flow as necessary. Work environment will have seasonal temperature variances. 

Primary essential daily functions: 

· Receive, inspect, document, and sort incoming mail, packages and deliveries from vendors and carriers. 

· Notify designated state agency representative or building personnel of deliveries. 

· Organize outgoing mail including USPS, FedEx, UPS, and other courier services.

· Maintain a log of deliveries and keep a current list of state agency contacts, building staff, and security. 

· Operate standard office and mail room equipment. 

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the loading dock and storage areas.

· Follow safety procedures and protocols related to dock operations.

· Daily walkthroughs of the dock area to ensure there are no mechanical, electrical, or other issues to report.  

· Assist security when necessary: direct traffic flow, vehicle backing, give directions, report unauthorized persons or vehicles. 

· May include other duties outside primary daily functions as determined by management. 

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent. 

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

May require use of pallet jack, dolly, or other equipment.

Basic computer skills and phone applications. 

Strong organizational skills.

Must work well independently and with others. 

Maintain a friendly helpful attitude.
