Job Description:The Area Beverage Director will oversee and elevate the wine, spirits, and overall beverage programs across Solage (80% focus) and The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern (20% focus). Based in Napa Valley, this leader will serve as the strategic driver of beverage excellence; balancing innovation, brand differentiation, and financial performance.
This role will champion program development, operational execution, team training, vendor partnerships, and revenue growth, while ensuring consistency of standards across both properties. The Area Beverage Director will work closely with culinary, marketing, and guest experience teams to design memorable beverage experiences that strengthen brand positioning and maximize profitability.
- Develop and execute innovative food and beverage strategies.
- Manage and inspire a talented team of sommeliers and beverage staff, ensuring high performance, professionalism, and alignment with company values.
- Remain personally responsible for maximizing quality levels of product, service, and guest satisfaction.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with all stakeholders.
- A thoughtful operator with an ability to manage both short and long-term financial objectives, adding value and managing outcomes through a balanced lens.
- Maintain and champion the Auberge Resorts Collection culture.
The pay range for this position is $120,000-130,000.
Qualifications:7+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality beverage programs, preferably at multi-property or regional level.
Advanced wine knowledge (Sommelier certification strongly preferred).
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success in cost control, revenue generation, and vendor negotiation.
Proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational presence.
