Scott Credit Union is calling all customer service professionals who are interested in a full-time Servicing Specialist job in the Collinsville, IL area to apply to join our amazing Operations team! This Servicing Specialist position works Monday - Saturday (Saturday rotation as scheduled), with varied hours and schedule depending on operational needs.
**Training is to be completed in the first 60-90 days of employment at the Home Office.
**Upon successful completion of training, qualifying employees may be eligible for a hybrid schedule.

The Day to Day as a Servicing Specialist
A typical day will look like:
- Manage bankruptcy process according to established guidelines.
- Process and respond to non-wage garnishment items such as citations to discover assets, garnishments, state and federal tax levies, and similar requests for information.
- Review and respond to government requests for information such as member complaints from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
- Review and respond to subpoena items.
- Recommends policy and process changes based on changes to the legal environment.
- Maintains proficiency in duties assigned to the Servicing Representative.
- Prepares periodic reporting for management review.
- Process invoices.
- Post or delegate recovery payments.
- Responsible for communication between SCU and assigned law firms.

To Be Considered, You’ll Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience working in a financial institution or law office.
- General office experience to include typing, answering phones, photocopy, and fax.
- Personal computer experience with emphasis in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Experience:
- Three years' experience with legal items including bankruptcies, non-wage garnishments, and subpoenas.
