With our continued growth, we are seeking an accomplished, hands-on Regional Director of Hotel Operations to join our leadership team and help drive the next chapter of our success story. This position may be based either in the Greater Boston region or Portsmouth, NH region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven hotel operations leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves building and coaching strong teams, and brings expertise across extended stay, select-service, lifestyle, and independent hotels. What You’ll Do
- Lead with vision—providing complete operational oversight across your region, ensuring outstanding financial performance, guest satisfaction, and associate development.
- Mentor and inspire General Managers and hotel leadership teams through coaching, training, and frequent property visits.
- Drive results by analyzing performance metrics (financial, STR, QA, guest feedback) and creating action plans for improvement.
- Collaborate with Sales and Revenue leaders to build property-specific strategies that maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Champion service and quality standards across all departments, including food & beverage operations.
- Partner with ownership groups and stakeholders, strengthening relationships and trust through consistent performance and communication.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring succession planning for future growth.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends to keep Colwen Hotels ahead of the curve.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years as a Regional Director of Hotel Operations or multi-property General Manager.
- Proven success with both branded (Marriott, Hilton, IHG) and independent hotels.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze, strategize, and execute.
- Inspiring leadership and exceptional communication skills.
- Food & beverage operations experience.
- A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves style with a passion for people and results.
- Willingness to travel frequently to assigned properties located throughout the portfolio.
