Serves as head of the Centra College Admissions Department. Oversees recruiting, student admissions, coordination of application processing, customer service, admissions support services, student retention, student records (registrar) and dissemination of information about the college.
Responsibilities
Serves as the initial point of contact for admissions across programs
Creates and executes current admission policies and adherence to program criteria
Manages the pre-enrollment process and functions as the Chair of the Admissions Committee
Attests compliance with admission requirements according to standards
Coordinates and facilitates campus visits, travels to events to meet the mission of the college
Plans and schedules admission interviews and entrance exams
Acts as new student liaison during the admission processes
Handle communication to potential students and stakeholders
Analyzes data to inform decision-making about enrollments, retention, and completion
Manage online admissions to support increased enrollments and additional online programs
Compiles Metrics and analyzes trends
In conjunction with the Director of Student Affairs, executes an innovative marketing and recruitment plan for all programs
Decision making regarding design, frequency, and medium of promo products and marketing materials
Develops and fosters relationships with students and families through ongoing recruitment activities and events
Develops and evaluates the social media campaigns targeted at recruitment and retention
Strong relationships with key stakeholders helping to lead to the identification of the best matched students
Design, execute, and maintain annual recruitment plan
Stay current with research and trends to ensure evidence-based application
Facilitate entrance examination and make recommendations for process improvement based on data
Targets recruiting efforts, engages viable applicants, and supports current students to completion, graduation, and licensure meeting accreditation benchmarks
May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelors Degree or Completion of a Bachelors Degree within one (1) year of hire
Required Experience: At least two (2) years of experience working at a college/university. Experience in enrollment management or aspects of enrollment management such as admissions, recruiting, marketing, retention and student success or other closely related field. General skills including word processing, spreadsheets and standard computer software; interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and oral and written communications skills
Preferred Experience: At least five (5) years of experience working at a college/university in enrollment management or aspects of enrollment management such as admissions, recruiting, marketing, retention, and student success or other closely related field
