Pay Rate - $65 / hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Video Surveillance Camera Installation Technician to perform contract work in the short term and potentially throughout the year as needed. The Contractor would be asked to install, maintain, and troubleshoot video surveillance systems for our city buildings and exteriors. The ideal Contractor will have experience working with security cameras, wiring, and networking equipment, and must be able to ensure systems are installed correctly and function as intended.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test video surveillance cameras and related equipment
- Run and terminate cables (Cat5/6, coax, etc.) as needed
- Mount cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and other security hardware
- Perform system troubleshooting and basic repairs
- Ensure proper system functionality
- Follow safety procedures and company standards

Requirements
- Experience with CCTV/video surveillance systems (preferred but not required – training may be provided)
- Basic knowledge of low-voltage wiring and networking
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and ladders safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
