Industrial Maintenance Technician at Service Center Metals

Service Center Metals, located in Prince George, VA is a leader in the aluminum industry, and we are hiring for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong industrial electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic experience, who will report to the Maintenance Manager at our Prince George plant.

Must Have:

• Have at least 2-5 years of Industrial Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems, Pneumatic systems, Welding & Fabricating.
• electrical or mechanical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
• Installing new production equipment.
• Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
• Identifying faulty equipment.
• Making relevant adjustments to machinery.
• Inspecting machines and electrical equipment.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance to ensure that industrial machines remain operational.
• Work in a team environment at a fast pace
• Be dependable and accountable to work with team members
• Work a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts/alternating every other weekend including overtime
• Lift 20 - 50 pounds or more on a regular basis and 51 – 75 pounds on an occasional basis
• Able to reach, stoop, bend, and be physical throughout a work shift
• Work effectively in very hot and cold temperatures
• Have excellent math and communication skills
• High School Graduate or GED preferred
