Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position will supervise the daily operational and patient care activities. Daily responsibilities include the provision of diagnostic scanning services to patients, the daily supervision of employees in the modality, coordination, and enhancement of services for attending Radiologists and referring Physicians, quality assurance/improvement, accreditation management, staff education and communication. The Supervisor of Radiology assists the Operations Manager in hiring, directing, and monitoring the work of staff. With a thorough knowledge of radiology operations, will recommend and implement changes to improve service delivery.

 

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE 40 hours weekly; M-F Days

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Technologist: Completion of an AMA approved program in Radiology Technology or the equivalent. 
  • Five years’ experience as a radiologic technologist or equivalent.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) 
  • Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
  • Problem solving skills and/or techniques.
  • Communication skills with the ability and desire to develop effective working relationships within and outside the radiology department.
  • Current knowledge of all hospital radiologic technology, practices, and techniques.
  • Current knowledge of all hospital radiologic technology, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge and compliance with regulatory environments, accreditation standards, best practices, and law.
  • Knowledge of the equipment and accessory devices specific to the section assigned.
  • Knowledge of safety-compliance practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technologist: Bachelor’s degree
