Join Our Physical Rehabilitation Team as a Veterinary Assistant – Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care

Would you like to be part of the fastest-growing specialty in veterinary medicine? Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care, a state-of-the-art veterinary referral hospital, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our Physical Rehabilitation team.

About Our Rehabilitation Services

Our hospital offers a wide range of advanced veterinary rehabilitation services, including:

  • In-patient and out-patient rehabilitation programs
  • Home exercise plans and weight loss management
  • Client education and support
  • Assistive devices for mobility
  • Therapeutic laser, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
  • Therapeutic massage and targeted exercises
  • Specialized exercise equipment

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:


  • Assist with daily physical rehabilitation treatments for dogs and cats
  • Handle, restrain, and provide compassionate care for patients
  • Maintain and clean rehabilitation equipment
  • Support the veterinary team with medications, prescription filling, and patient care
  • Assist technicians and veterinarians as needed
  • Perform general clinic upkeep, laundry, and sanitation tasks
  • Take on assigned projects with a positive, team-oriented attitude

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine preferred
  • Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and doctors
  • Friendly, compassionate, and motivated personality (talking to animals is encouraged!)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely
  • Comfortable working in a veterinary environment with potential exposure to infectious disease
