MISSION

'The role is responsible for supporting innovation and continuous improvement in the company's coffee systems and processing technologies, contributing to in-cup quality and consistency. This involves supporting all the activities related to the evaluation and optimization of existing coffee systems and processing technologies, as well as the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative ones, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards and compliance with industry regulations. Further, the role entails contributing to the development of prototypes and testing, assisting seamless integration with production processes, green coffee characteristics, roasting profiles, and packaging formats. Lastly, the role demands tracking KPIs and metrics to measure the performance of coffee systems and technologies development initiatives, conducting research on industry trends, technological advancements, and competition, and providing reports with key insights to management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists in the evaluation and optimization of current coffee systems and processing technologies (e.g., roasting, grinding, degassing), by conducting data analysis, preparing reports, and proposing improvements to enhance in-cup quality and consistency;
2. Supports the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative coffee systems and processing technologies;
3. Contributes to the development of coffee systems and processing technologies specifications and the execution of tests, analysis and data processing for validation, providing functionality and compatibility with company's quality standards and requirements;
4. Contributes to the development of prototypes for new products and systems in the laboratory;
5. Works with cross-functional teams (e.g., Production, Engineering) by assisting with the integration of new processing technologies into existing or newly developed production processes, ensuring smooth implementation and consistency of results;
6. Works with Research and Development teams related to Green Coffee and Packaging to assist in providing compatibility of innovative coffee systems and processing technologies with green coffee bean characteristics, roasting profiles, and packaging formats;
7. Supports the administration and coordination of maintenance activities schedules for existing systems and technologies;
8. Keeps track of KPIs and metrics to measure the performance of coffee systems and processing technologies development initiatives, providing reports with variances and key insights to management for informed decision-making;
9. Conducts research and analysis on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for improvement or innovation on coffee machines systems and processing technologies, providing relevant updates to management.
