This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.

Job Details:

As a putaway operative you will work in a fast-paced warehouse and be responsible for the movement of stock to designated locations within the warehouse.

Fixed Term Contract to 1/6/26

Salary: £12.40 per hour
Hours Per Week: 39
Days and Shifts: Tuesday to Friday 8am-4pm & Saturday 6am-2pm

Key Accountability:

  • To ensure that stock from the putaway area is safely transported to the correct location

  • To prioritise the put away of out of stock lines

  • To achieve agreed productivity levels

  • To transfer the stock from the pallet or trolley onto the location as dictated on the putaway label ensuring that:

  • The stock is rotated

  • The stock is presented correctly both at reserve and pick locations

  • The putaway label is visible on stock put to reserve slots

  • Stock being placed in pick locations is presented in slave trays, or lids of outer packaging removed

  • Good housekeeping standards are maintained in all areas

  • To remove any stock found to be in the wrong location, and place it in the Sin Bin, ensuring that the correct paperwork is completed

  • To complete the Putaway control sheet accurately

  • To ensure that errors are maintained within the agreed percentage levels

  • To report back to the putaway area on completion of the task

  • To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained at all times

  • To report any queries to the Inbound Manager

  • To ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are met

  • Any other task as requested by Team Leaders or Manager

Manual Handling:

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal

  • High visual accuracy

  • Basic Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse
