Position Overview:

The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in managing the company’s accounts payable process across multiple locations and brands. This individual will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing vendor invoices and payments while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of accounting or accounts payable experience, a strong desire for career growth, and familiarity with Sage Intacct.

This role will work closely with the Finance and Operations teams to support smooth day-to-day operations and contribute to the company’s continued growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and issue vendor payments, including checks, ACH, and other payment methods through a 3rd party payment processor.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with managing vendor relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
• Support the purchase order process, ensuring invoices match purchase orders and receipts for accuracy.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and accruals related to accounts payable.
• Generate and maintain accounts payable reports for management review.
• Collaborate with the Operations and Finance teams to support efficient workflow and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company accounting policies.
• Assist with onboarding new locations or brands into the accounts payable process.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and vendors.
• Desire to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibilities.
• Experience working with multi-location or multi-brand organizations is a plus.
• Knowledge of the family entertainment or hospitality industries is a plus.
