Manufacturing Multi-Task Worker Level II at Smithers-Oasis

WHO WE NEED:

We are seeking a reliable, dedicated and focused individual to support critical functions of our production.  This individual, by nature, must be able to take direction well, be willing to jump in where needed, and be able to work well with others.

Some responsibilities of the Multi-Task Worker position include (but are not limited to):

• Effectively performs the functions of each position assigned to.
• Completes all required records and reports as assigned.
• May direct or train other employees as requested.
• Assigned, on a daily basis, to other departments, locations, or shifts as production plan requires.
• Maintains a clean and safe working area according to the established safety procedures.
• Participates in and supports Smithers-Oasis North America continuous improvement activities.
• Supports and leads by example the Core Values of the organization.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• An individual with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• An individual who holds a valid driver’s license.
• An individual who can lift up to 50 pounds continuously on a daily basis and ability to maneuver up to 100 pounds on occasion.
• An individual who is proficient with computers and data entry and can perform basic math calculations.
• An individual who displays good decision-making skills, using resourcefulness, initiative, and sound judgment to adapt to various workplace situations.
• An individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and regularly rotate positions.
• An individual with the ability (mandatory for the position) to work any hours or shifts needed at any time at the discretion of management. When this is necessary, management will rotate employees based upon the need and the skills required.
• An individual who can operate machines which may require bending or stooping. There may be considerable standing and walking. Depending on speed of equipment, this position may require above average effort and may require high degree of manual dexterity, concentration, and speed.
• An individual who can tolerate frequent exposure to one or more disagreeable elements.
