Work Shift
1 - First ShiftAre you the type of person who can tell a compelling story about the motivations and intentions of users? In this role you will be responsible for scoping and crafting research strategy, conducting research, and delivering actionable insights through a variety of research study methods in both remote and in-person settings. We’re looking for a leader who complements our team culture to join our rapidly growing team of industrial design and user experience professionals.What You’ll Do
1. Design and lead research studies to attain "Voice of Customer" insights that follow research best practices and methodologies.
2. Partner with product managers to identify future research needs and develop a research roadmap with project briefs estimating scope and level of effort.
3. Ensure research results are actionable and contribute directly to meeting project and business goals.
4. Present and communicate research results and recommendations to the stakeholder team and larger organization when needed.
5. Contribute to next-gen research group vision, identifying areas of opportunity or improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral psychology, anthropology, design research, or related field considered an advantage.
- 7 years of practical user research experience or equivalent experience/advanced degree preferred.
- Solid understanding of the principles of evaluative research and a demonstrable knowledge of multiple research methodologies and approaches (e.g. usability, studies, formative vs. summative studies, journey maps, ideation workshops, persona creation, heuristic reviews, benchmarking, card sorts, design thinking, service design, etc.), and know the strengths and weaknesses of each.
- Related experience in another field such as human-computer interaction, interactive design, and/or market research is a plus.
- Ability to communicate research results, graphically depict data, and justify methods and approaches-verbally and visually-are an absolute must.
Travel
- Significant travel is expected of this position.
Work Location
