How Will You Make an Impact?:

The Material Handler I supports operations by unloading, sorting, verifying receipts and storing materials withing the 2-8C cold room or ambient temperature locations. The position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, assisting outbound pick and pack operations, and ensuring accurate inventory across the site.

A Day in the Life:

  • Receiving, Sorting and Stocking picking and overflow locations throughout the warehouse
  • Assisting the outbound team with pick and pack operations
  • Maintain accurate inventory through receipts, adjustments, and cycle counts
  • Uncrating instruments received and preparing for distribution

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Preferred: Experience in a FDA regulated distribution/warehouse environment
  • Required: Experience with forklifts, walkie stackers and pallet jacks
  • Required: 1-2 years experience picking, packing, sorting and receiving high volume of materials

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and other similar equipment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and set priorities

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Able to handle chemicals, including hazardous materials
  • Frequently lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs with assistance
  • Must be available to work overtime, including weekends to support department as necessary
