The Cross Regional Supply Chain Analyst plays a pivotal role in managing the movement of seed products across global regions, ensuring timely execution of packaging, compliance, and export requirements. This role demands agility, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.  Additionally, the Cross Regional Supply Chain Analyst handles specific system transactions to enable seed movement across regions, creates the rough cut capacity plans to ensure that we are meeting demand targets, handles all direct material planning associated with cross regional commercial moves, and participates in cross-functional teams to improve supply chain effectiveness. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate available supply and demand to create process orders that provide visibility of needs for conditioning, packaging, and treating to production locations in accordance with time horizons.
  • Forward plan to ensure process order inputs are available timely and demand is fulfilled based on priorities to meet current segment targets or objectives .
  • Create rough cut capacity plans and work closely with production locations to support the lead times associated with meeting our export deadlines.
  • Manage all direct material planning to support cross regional commercial moves.
  • Monitor KPIs to measure performance toward objectives.
  • Identify and communicate supply variances to the associated importing regions.
  • Assist internal and external production locations with managing production schedules, rough cut capacity plans, priorities, and sample size grids.
  • Provide direction, support, and training to internal production locations and third-party contract conditioners on production and system needs.
  • Be on call periodically to support production locations or meet with partners across the globe to accommodate time zone differences.
  • Develop and maintain clear packaging specifications and Equipt documents.
  • Ensure compliance with local labeling and packaging laws.
  • Work jointly with IT to develop new systems to support supply chain and production processes.
  • Regularly communicate with global partners to provide updates on their supply quantity, quality, and timing of the seed arrivals.
  • Participate in recurring control tower meetings and provide input on supply status.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or Agricultural related fields or equivalent amount of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of production or supply chain experience
  • Working knowledge or ability to learn Excel, Access, and SAP systems
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work closely with peers in a team environment
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles and acumen
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate and interpret data to make decisions
  • Ability to model scenarios and make data and cost-driven decisions
  • Capable of working across functions to ensure supply chain strategies are executed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across global teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of commercial corn production and quality processes
  • Knowledge of phytosanitary specifications to move seed globally
  • Innovative and able to prioritize multiple diverse activities at any given time
  • Adaptability in managing complexity and last-minute changes.
  • Ability to utilize internal resources to work through challenges to support moving seed globally.
  • Ability to learn and work through problems with little direction.
  • APICS Coursework or Certification preferred
