Role & Responsibility:
- Acts as an active member of the management team to support the care management model, standards of pediatric clinical practice, legal and regulatory standards, Code of Ethics and established policies.
- Supervises technical personnel (dental assistants) providing care.
- Partners with Ambulatory Managers, Medical Director and Director of Oral Health services on business and financial operations.
Hours & Location:
- Monday - Friday | Clinics are open from 8AM - 4:30PM
- Rotation between our 4 Dental Clinic Locations (Milwaukee Campus, Forest Home, Midtown, & Next Door)
Education, Certification, & License:
- High School diploma required
- CPR certification obtained within 90 days of hire - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
Skills & Experience:
- Two years of previous dental assisting experience required with preference being in Pediatrics. One year of supervisory experience or other leadership experience required.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures associated with pediatric dentistry and the role and responsibilities of a dental assistant.
- Proven experience in the areas of problem solving and decision making. Demonstrated ability to rapidly make assessments of critical and/or potentially ambiguous situations and develop logical interventions. Ability to think conceptually and translate broad organizational issues to the daily operational level.
- Excellent communication skills in order to supervise and relate to employees and interact effectively with patients, families, providers and co-workers.
- Knowledge of computer and keyboard, word processing skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic PC issues.
- Ability to navigate through an electronic record and problem solve equipment and instrument related issues.
- Ability to stand/walk/move a moderate amount of time, sit frequently, reach moderately, bend/squat/kneel occasionally, push/pull 50 pounds occasionally, and lift/carry items weighing up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient care needs and administrative timelines.
