L.L.Bean is looking for a Senior Warehouse Management IT Analyst to join our IS Team. We welcome the opportunity for this role to be hybrid based at the corporate headquarters in Freeport, Maine.
Position Purpose
The Senior Warehouse Management IT Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing complex application solutions that support L.L.Bean’s warehouse operations. This role provides technical leadership on high-impact projects, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. The analyst will work across business and technical teams to ensure solutions align with industry best practices and L.L.Bean’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Implementation
- Lead the design and configuration of complex Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and SaaS solutions.
- Develop high-level and detailed specifications, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
- Coordinate integration activities across multiple technical teams and systems.
- Apply formal methodologies and design patterns to create robust, maintainable solutions.
- Manage technical issues during development, testing, and implementation phases.
Project Leadership
- Participate in project planning, scope definition, and estimation.
- Lead or contribute to software selection, implementation, and integration efforts.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Track and report on project progress, budget, and resource utilization.
Application Support
- Provide 24x7 support for production systems, including on-call responsibilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
- Maintain system documentation, knowledge bases, and FAQs.
- Ensure adherence to security, development, and performance standards.
Collaboration & Adoption
- Partner with business stakeholders to ensure effective end-user adoption.
- Review training strategies, materials, and SOPs.
- Act as a liaison with software vendors and internal teams to ensure service levels are met.
Leadership & Team Development
- May manage assigned personnel, including performance management and development planning.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of employees and contractors.
- Build trusted relationships and provide mentorship across IS teams.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, and implementation, preferably in warehouse or supply chain environments.

- Applications: Manhattan Warehouse Management, BluJay, Varsity, ETL and ESB integrations, SAP knowledge preferred.
- Languages/Tools: PERL, Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML, Webservices, API, C
- Platforms: Linux, WebSphere, Eclipse, RAD
- Databases: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
- Integration: MQ Series, ETL, ESB
- Testing & Debugging: Automated testing tools, Zephyr
- Version Control & Issue Tracking: GIT, ServiceNow, Jira
- Experienced in SDLC methodologies and enterprise architecture standards.
