Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Accounts Payable Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately capture and manage Toyota’s short-term liabilities to vendors and suppliers.
Reporting to the Manager of Accounts Payable, the person in this role will support the AP Accounting department's objective to support department & division goals and perform core accounting functions to achieve monthly deliverables.
What you’ll be doing
Analyzing, preparing, and recording key monthly and quarterly journal entries for payables, ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger and the timeliness of entries.
Preparing and presenting monthly financial analyses to management, including account fluctuation analysis and other ad hoc analysis requests.
Preparing account reconciliations and supporting documentation to maintain key SOX and internal controls.
Collaborating closely with key manufacturing plants and divisions to provide general ledger support as needed.
Working alongside external auditors to support quarterly/annual financial and SOX audits by providing schedules and addressing inquiries and ad hoc requests.
Promoting the identification, development, and implementation of process improvements to enhance controls and efficiencies over accounting processes.
What you bring
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Previous experience in leading continuous improvement efforts and change management
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address process gaps and resolve issues
Proven analytical skills, with the ability to identify errors and conduct trend analysis
Experience in preparing balance sheet reconciliations and writing flux analysis explanations
Previous experience with SOX control, month-end close, and posting journal entries
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, high accuracy, and presentation skills
Proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-based, and collaborative environment
Added bonus if you have
Experience with SAP
CPA License
Advanced Excel macro (VBA) experience
Consolidation and/or Intercompany experience
