Mechanical Engineer - MeltShop at Steel Dynamics, Inc.

• Supervise and provide support for all mechanical repair personnel
• Investigate/troubleshoot mechanical problems or equipment failures
• Establish/maintain infrastructure for mechanical maintenance and continuous improvement
• Interfacing with operations on continuous process improvements
• Management of costs as it relates to spare parts, repairs, contractors, vendors, etc.
• Multi-task and manage projects/maintenance outages
• Manage capital projects

• Proven track record as a leader regarding safety
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to work unscheduled hours/days
• At least two years of mechanical maintenance experience
• 4 year engineering degree required

Preferred

• Strong computer skills (Excel, Auto CAD, SolidWorks)
• High level of planning and troubleshooting skills
