Long Description
Job Summary:
The Enterprise Architect plays a key role in presales by designing SAP solutions (Build and Run services) that are technically sound, business-aligned, and compelling. Acting as a trusted advisor, the EA ensures proposed solutions address client challenges, leverage SAP technology, and form the technical foundation for winning proposals.
Core objectives include:
- Understanding client business goals and IT landscapes.
- Translating requirements into scalable, secure architectural blueprints.
- Ensuring technical feasibility and long-term sustainability.
- Guiding clients and internal teams through the presales cycle.
- Educating customers on SAP capabilities and defending solutions against competition.
- Supporting Client Partners in identifying and shaping SAP opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Qualification & Deal Strategy
- Assess opportunities against company capabilities and success potential.
- Define win themes, USPs, and positioning in collaboration with sales.
- Identify client business drivers such as cost reduction, compliance, and innovation.
Proposal Development & Bid Management
- Lead cross-functional bid teams, coordinating sales, delivery, finance, and legal.
- Oversee RFIs, RFPs, and SOWs, ensuring outputs are compliant, high-quality, and persuasive.
- Manage bid resources, timelines, and governance processes.
Commercial & Financial Acumen
- Develop and validate pricing strategies and commercial models.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
- Articulate the value of SAP solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Align internal stakeholders across sales, delivery, finance, and legal.
Requirements Analysis & Solution Design
- Lead discovery workshops to capture detailed business and technical needs.
- Analyse client objectives, IT landscapes, and integration requirements.
- Design end-to-end SAP solutions across application, data, integration, and infrastructure layers.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, compliant, and cost-effective, leveraging SAP best practices and Clean Core principles.
Technical Leadership & Advisory
- Serve as the technical authority during presales engagements.
- Guide clients on SAP best practices, innovation (e.g., AI), and cloud strategies.
- Deliver workshops, presentations, and demonstrations tailored to different audiences.
Solution Defence & Proposal Support
- Defend proposed architectures against technical challenges and competition.
- Provide technical content for proposals, RFI/RFP responses, and SOWs.
- Support effort estimates, delivery timelines, and risk identification.
- Develop PoCs, demos, and prototypes showcasing SAP capabilities.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with SAP S/4HANA, BTP, industry cloud, and emerging IT trends.
- Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and internal best practices.
Short Description
Required Skills/Experience
- SAP Expertise: Deep knowledge of S/4HANA (all deployment models, transition approaches), SAP BTP (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build, SAC), Fiori/UI5, ABAP extension techniques, and HANA database architecture.
- Cloud Architecture: Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including RISE and managed cloud concepts.
- Integration: Proficiency with SAP Integration Suite/CPI, PI/PO, API Management, Event Mesh, and integration design across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Enterprise Architecture: Familiarity with EA frameworks, modelling methods, and creating blueprints and specifications.
- Advisory & Communication: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Able to explain complex topics clearly to both executives and technical teams.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with proven ability to evaluate complex challenges and recommend optimal solutions.
