Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Professional to join our Middle Market Direct Lending and Opportunistic/Capital Solutions team. This individual will be responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of bespoke capital solutions for middle-market companies across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of private credit and/or private equity, a proven track record of deal origination and execution, and strong relationships within the middle market ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Origination & Business Development
* Actively identify, source, and evaluate new investment opportunities within the middle market through an established network of relationships with private equity firms, financial intermediaries, and company executives.
* Develop and maintain a robust deal pipeline aligned with the firm's investment strategy.
* Lead initial due diligence and screening of potential transactions, including financial analysis, industry research, and business model assessment.
* Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and network with key market participants.
Execution & Transaction Management
* Lead and manage all aspects of the transaction execution process from initial contact to closing.
* Oversee the financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence efforts, coordinating with internal and external advisors (legal, accounting, tax).
* Structure and negotiate deal terms, including term sheets, legal documentation, and intercreditor agreements.
* Prepare and present investment memorandums and other materials for internal investment committee approval.
* Manage existing portfolio investments, including ongoing monitoring and value creation initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
* 10+ years of relevant experience in a capital markets, investment banking, private/growth equity or private credit role, with a focus on middle market transactions.
* Proven track record of originating and closing complex debt, mezzanine, or equity transactions.
* Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
* Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities.
Preferred
* Deep expertise in a specific industry sector (e.g., technology, healthcare, industrial services, business services, financial services).
* Experience with leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and growth equity investments.
* Familiarity with regulatory and legal frameworks governing financial transactions.
