We are seeking visionary product builders to come join us in Bengaluru/Hyderabad.
The Director, Consumer Experience Tech@Lilly* will shape and lead enterprise-wide strategy, design, and execution of digital product portfolios across, influencing cross-functional priorities and long-term vision within Lilly’s Consumer experience ecosystem. This role will be pivotal in shaping the future of these digital products, helping Lilly drive transformational outcomes through customer-centric design, modular architecture, and operational scalability. As a product builder and manager, you will, in partnership with business colleagues and senior leadership, be designed to meet user needs while delivering innovative technology solutions that advance Lilly’s mission to create medicines that make life better.

What You Will Do:
Product Strategy and Roadmap
Co-create and lead the execution of bold digital product strategies, roadmaps, timelines and requirements for one or more of Lilly’s Consumer Experience products
Align digital product initiatives with strategic business goals and high value problems to solve, prioritize investments based on impact and feasibility, and ensure consistent delivery across a portfolio of interconnected digital products.
Team First Mentality
Embody a no-ego, team-first mindset in all interactions. Foster a collaborative culture that prioritizes shared success over individual recognition. Represent the product team with humility and integrity when engaging with stakeholders and partners. Mentor emerging product leaders; contribute to Lilly’s talent development programs, succession planning, and leadership pipeline.
Business Partnership Champion
Act as a strategic product partner to business leaders—translating their goals and solving business problems through a compelling product vision and actionable strategy. As a pod, collaborate closely with other Lilly digital product leads, design, and engineering teams to ensure solutions are grounded in user needs, technically sound, and aligned with the product’s vision and strategy.
User Experience and Design
Partner to understand end-to-end user needs across digital product touchpoints. Collaborate closely with customer leads, design, and research teams to ensure intuitive, accessible, and emotionally resonant user interfaces. Advocate for design quality and usability throughout the product lifecycle and use data-driven insights to continuously improve the user experience.
Technical Collaboration and Standards
Define and evangelize technical standards across product portfolios; guide architectural decisions impacting multiple domains and mentor engineering leaders. Actively participate in technical strategy discussions and unblock cross-portfolio dependencies.
Stakeholder Engagement and Thought Leadership
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders for their product. Represent Lilly at global industry forums and conferences; publish thought leadership content and shape Lilly’s external tech reputation.
Operational Excellence and Resource Planning
Lead portfolio-level resource allocation and prioritization, incorporating technical complexity, dependencies, and engineering capacity. Drive systemic improvements in resource planning and operational excellence across portfolios; establish frameworks for continuous improvement and scalability to enhance patient experience.
Your Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors in engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields, from top-tier institutions; applicants from other colleges may need to showcase details of previously written engineering code or architecture
- At least 8 years of product management experience, including 2+ years in leadership roles
- Deep technical expertise with ability to evaluate complex architectures and guide decision-making; significant hands-on engineering experience (any key stack/language) is a high priority
- Deep understanding of user experience principles and human-centered design, with a proven ability to partner and guide design teams to deliver intuitive, accessible, and emotionally resonant digital products
- Proven track record of delivering transformational digital products in a start-up and/or enterprise environment
What You Would Ideally Bring:
- Experience in building or managing digital products for best-in-class CX (eCommerce, FinTech, Social Media, Travel, Retail and others as appropriate)
- Additional experience in digital product building in regulated industries (such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals) is a plus
- Sound understanding of applying AI/ML-driven personalization and data platforms (e.g. AEP)
- Lead AI-driven innovation initiatives across Tech@Lilly; shape personalization platforms and data strategy in alignment with enterprise goals.
- Lead modular platform strategy and reusable component architecture across Tech@Lilly; drive adoption of agentic workflows and protocols (e.g., MCP) at scale
- Resilience and persistence in navigating ambiguity, overcoming obstacles, and driving progress in complex, fast-paced environments
- Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking skills with strong business acumen
- Excellent communication and influence skills, including engagement with C-level executives
