Role Purpose and Key Accountabilities:   


The role of the Technical/In - house recruiter is to, in collaboration with the Senior HR Executive Talent Acquisition, drive the Talent Acquisition function for our business. The Technical Recruiter will be confident to use a variety of techniques when identifying, screening, selecting and presenting talented and well qualified candidates to our hiring managers. The role works in close collaboration with our hiring managers to specify requirements, address skills gaps and identify candidates which fit the technical requirements as well as the cultural and team fit for our business.


Brand Ambassadorship 

  • Being a PAI ambassador, ensuring candidates have an exceptional experience going through the selection process with the business.  
  • In alignment with the company values ensuring the candidates understand the company purpose, the scope of the opportunity presented to them and the responsibilities of the role.  
  • Present and represent an understanding of the company culture, benefits as well as progression opportunities.  
  • Facilitates contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical/industry community and marketplace. 

Talent Acquisition collaboration 

  • Assists with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions. 
  • Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates. 
  • Drafts recruitment advertisements: posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions. 

Screening and Selection  

  • Identify appropriate candidates and assess their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications. 
  • Manage the candidates’ experience through the interview process. Guide them through the various steps in the screening process.  
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications. 
  • Liaise with our third-party provider in relation to candidate background verification and checks. 
  • Provides advice to hiring managers regarding salary negotiations with final candidates. 


Skills and Experience: 

  • Relevant working experience in technical IT recruitment is required for this position. 
  • Strong customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills.

Knowledge: 

  • Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles and technical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office suite. 
  • Excellent knowledge of office management systems and procedures. 

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. A higher degree, Master’s or MBA is desirable.
