We are looking for a Business Process Lead for Quality and Production (freelance consultant) to coordinate activities within our clients SAP implementation project. This role covers not only production processes but also purchasing and customer shipping. It requires close collaboration with the Business Process Owner (BPO) to effectively integrate Quality and Production management across these different functional areas in SAP.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with representatives from various departments (quality, production, purchasing, shipping) to ensure smooth integration of quality and production processes.
- Actively participate in analysing the specific needs of each department regarding quality and contribute to defining solutions within the SAP QM module.
- Assist in configuring and customizing SAP QM to meet quality requirements across the entire value chain, from raw material reception to customer delivery.
- Actively participate in analysing the specific needs of each production department, particularly within engineering teams, and contribute to defining future data management solutions involving ERP, MES, and PLM.
- Facilitate end-user training and support, ensuring that training materials align with operational processes.
- Oversee testing sessions to ensure the system meets business expectations, aiming for pragmatic and efficient outcomes for quality and production teams.
- Monitor project progress, report regularly on achievements, and manage gaps or issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Previous experience in quality-related project management, ideally including an SAP QM implementation.
- Experience in an industrial or production environment.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a role related to quality management or ERP, PLM, MES projects.
- Practical knowledge of SAP QM modules and ideally related modules (MM, PP).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with project management tools and office software.

This is a role for an independent (freelance consultant). Start date is ASAP.
Initial contract until end 2025 with long term extension possibility after.
Presence on site in Liege will be required 3 days/week.
