We are hiring an Associate intern for our Global Private Credit team. This position is based in New York
With a footprint across Europe, US, and Asia, the Global Private Credit team invests in private debt primaries, secondaries, and co-investments on behalf of Allianz and third-party clients. The team currently comprises an international and diverse group of ten investment professionals. As part of growing importance of credit secondaries for the platform, the team is now seeking to hire a new investment professional to support the growth of the segment.
What you do:
- The new team member will predominantly focus on private debt secondaries, in addition to working with the team across the full range of its investment activities as necessary.
- Active deal sourcing through origination network of advisers and GPs of private debt secondaries opportunities.
- Evaluate potential investment opportunities performing Top-down and bottom-up portfolio analysis, including detailed portfolio company research.
- Run due diligence process, preparation of materials and presentation of investment opportunities in investment committee meetings.
- Structure and execute transactions in close collaboration with internal and external counsel.
- Active role in life cycle management of investments.
- Build and maintain relationships with fund managers, institutional investors, and others.
- Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
What you bring:
- Candidate for/Graduated with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics or business from an accredited university
- Excellent academic track record
- Ability to conduct general financial analytics and to read and understand financial statements is required
- Ideally relevant professional or academic experience in a similar role with a strong emphasis on finance/investment
- Eager to learn about private debt asset class across regions and styles
- Previous work experience within consulting, investment banking, asset management a plus
- Strong leadership, presentation and project management skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with high level of attention to details
- Ambitious, self-motivated with strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- Base salary range $100,000 - $135,000
