Key Responsibilities
- Vericut Implementation & Optimization
- Lead Phase I cost savings initiatives in Vericut simulation and optimization.
- Phase II: Develop and institutionalize best practices for Livermore operations.
- Phase III: Drive enterprise-wide training and rollouts across Ichor/IMG sites.
- CNC Programming & Process Development
- Improve toolpaths, machining strategies, and setup reduction to reduce cycle times and increase throughput.
- Partner with operators and machinists to translate engineering into scalable, efficient shop-floor execution.
- Program critical components in Mastercam for complex machining requirements on Space/Aero/Defense programs.
- Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction
- Identify, lead, and execute process improvement initiatives across machining operations.
- Deliver measurable savings via cycle time reductions, tool life management, and improve equipment utilization and labor efficiency.
- Support CAPEX planning to scale operations effectively.
- Project Management & Customer Interface
- Manage engineering deliverables for prototype and production ramp-up projects.
- Serve as technical liaison for DFM discussions, project status updates, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (production, quality, supply chain, sales) to meet customer commitments.
- Team Development & Mentorship
- Coach and mentor engineers/programmers in Mastercam, Vericut, and process best practices.
- Build a high-performance culture within a lean, fast-paced engineering organization.
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Lead engineering activities for prototypes, validation, and transition to production.
- Collaborate with business development to win new market share in high-growth sectors.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of CNC programming (Mastercam required; Vericut experience strongly preferred).
- Proven leadership in process development, continuous improvement, and/or CNC programming management.
- Strong project management and customer-facing experience.
- Hands-on experience with 5-axis, mill-turn, and advanced machining processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $128,400- $218,300. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
