St Julien Hotel & Spa is looking for In-Room Dining Servers who will be responsible for answering guest calls and managing every order to completion in accordance with the Hotel’s Forbes/Preferred Service Standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Understand the importance of, and adhere to, Four Star/Four Diamond and Preferred service standards.
- Receive guest food/beverage orders and input order into computer Point of Sales system; confirm all orders for accuracy prior to closing the interaction.
- Remain knowledgeable about all menu items and drink offerings; provide guests with information on specials as applicable.
- Set up tray and cart for delivery, ensuring that each guest’s order is complete and accurate before delivery.
- Deliver food and beverage orders in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner.
- Ensure that the In-Room Dining workspace remains clear, organized, and stocked for service.
- Proactively look for things to be accomplished during down time such as preparing for future orders, polishing silverware, folding napkins, etc.
- Collect trays and carts after breakfast, lunch, and dinner services; frequently monitor all guest spaces and hallways so that rooms and corridors are free of tables/trays.
- Arrange the set-up and delivery of amenities as requested.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ serving experience required. Previous fine dining/hospitality experience highly preferred, but not required.
- Ideal candidate must be friendly and engaging, able to multitask effectively, and should possess excellent communication skills.
- Valid TIPS certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift up to 10 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must have flexible availability and be able to work weekends and holidays.
