Human Resources Leave of Absence Administrator

Westlake Financial Services is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Human Resources Leave of Absence Administrator. The ideal individual will be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate Excel is required for the position as well as previous experience in a Human Resources administrative function with Leave Administration.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Leave of Absence Administrator to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of HR functions, from onboarding to employee relations and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Administers and supports employee leave of absence programs (FMLA, PDL, CFRA, ADA, personal, military, PWFL, etc.)
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of all government regulations and laws and advises employees on company policy, guidelines, and documentation requirements.
- Monitors and tracks absence status, documentation, and return to work dates while coordinating with managers regarding status and return to work connected to the leave of absence.
- Serve as subject matter expert on leave policies and educate employees and management as needed.
File and manage workers’ compensation claims from start to resolution.
Serve as a liaison between employees, medical providers, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with state and federal WC regulations.
Track claim status, costs, and return-to-work timelines.
Conduct investigations and gather documentation for workplace injury reports.
Develop and monitor light-duty or modified work assignments as needed.
Analyze WC data and trends to recommend safety or cost-containment improvements.
The Workers’ Compensation Specialist manages and coordinates workers’ compensation claims to ensure appropriate medical treatment, cost control, and compliance with applicable laws and company policy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–3 years of HR experience with strong knowledge of Leave of Absence laws and regulations
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and state leave laws.

Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG, Workday, SAP, ADP).
PAY RATE:
- We offer a competitive starting salary of $70,304 - $80,304/year
- The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable
