Summary:

The Systems Project Director is responsible for managing and directing the custom system projects team, delivering  projects to clients on-time, on or at above as-quoted margin levels. They are a  liason, cross-functionally,   to verify that the product meets the performance requirements identified in the project proposal. The leader is also responsible for getting the custom system installed, commissioned, and signed off by the customer. The Sr. Project Engineering Manager will create a revenue stream (P&L) using our installation and service team t for revenue generation.

  • Analytical mind with demonstrable competency and experience in strategic planning, business development, ability to build business plans, and manage P&L
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities to create and lead an environment where cross-team collaboration is required 
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Process focused (experience optimizing internal processes) and results driven. Understand priorities with demonstrated ability to drive revenue and profitability performance
  • Strong motivational, organizational, written, and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to understand market needs and collaborate with internal and external team players
  • Portfolio management – ensuring resources are aligned to their highest and best use in support of the business and product line strategies
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of direct reports. 
  • Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Provides ongoing training to team to develop and encourage their technical and operational performance.  
  • Meet with appropriate staff on a timely basis for performance evaluations and goal setting.  
  • Ensures company standard practices and procedures are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years minimum experience within Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, or Supply Chain
  • The ideal candidate already possesses experience within liquid and powder finishing, and curing
  • Ability to travel (10-30%)
  • Ability to effectively lead cross-cultural and cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or relevant field; MBA/MS/PMP is a distinct advantage
