Vitamix is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager who will be responsible for strategically developing, maintaining, and enhancing a comprehensive safety program. They will ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards strictly comply with applicable CDC, OSHA, EPA and all state and local regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for safety and experience working within a progressive HSE organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Directs, develops, and champions comprehensive corporate-wide health, safety, and environmental strategies.
- Manages the full administration of the Workers' Compensation program, ensuring efficient processes and compliance.
- Ensures all safety incidents are meticulously documented, thoroughly investigated, and that timely corrective actions are implemented using tracking software to prevent recurrence.
- Drives health, safety, and environmental awareness across the organization through impactful employee communication, targeted training, and leading safety committee meetings.
- Promotes and fosters active employee involvement in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the safety culture.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all internal and external audits related to the company's safety initiatives, plans, and processes.
- Ensures the timely completion of safety drills, comprehensive site inspections, and detailed written survey reports with actionable recommendations for corrective actions.
- Measures overall safety performance, conducts in-depth data analysis for trends, and communicates findings with strategic recommendations to management teams.
- Ensures that all health, safety, and environmental standards strictly comply with applicable CDC, OSHA, EPA, and state & local health and worker's compensation requirements.
- Continuously evaluates and enhances the overall safety program to ensure optimal protection for global employees, customers, and the environment.
The ideal candidate will also possess:

- Proficient in MS Office
- Previous experience using workplace incident tracking software
- Strong understanding of CDC, OSHA, EPA, and Workers Compensation regulations and standards (multi-state)

- Bachelor’s Degree in HSE, Business, or related field
- 7 years’ experience in a progressive HSE environment
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day, with walking and standing required frequently
- Visual acuity is required to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading documents, reports, and emails
- Repetitive hand movements for tasks like typing or assembly
- Fine motor skills for precise work
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye protection
- Vision (near, color)
- Sense of sound (ability to hear the difference in sounds of motor)
- Sense of touch
