Responsibilities
- Completes setup and operation of Audio/Video for all groups, conventions, banquets and special events of Angel of the Winds casino and its remote properties
- Serves as the audio mix engineer for bands and live entertainment to include setting up the stage, adjusting levels, mixing the show and striking the stage after the event
- Assists in the scheduling of AV needs in the meeting, conference and banquet rooms.
- Act as liaison between performers and Angel of the Winds patrons and staff.
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance on AV equipment on a scheduled basis.
- Works with casino trainers to ensure that A/V equipment and support to cover the lesson plans are available.
- Works closely with banquet and event staff to ensure availability of technologies for guest & presenters (i.e., internet, TV, computer, audio, video, etc.)
- Supports casino digital signage systems, media players, networked video and DVLED screens along with related audio/visual systems
- Installs AV hardware including TV’s, mounts, speakers, cabling and related equipment
- Provides AV technical support for the casino through the ticketing system, ensuring all work is documented with accurate time, communication and detailed notes.
- May train users in startup and basic use of A/V equipment as required.
- Attends all mandatory department, casino and/or training meetings.
- May assist other staff as needed.
- Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
- Ensures control/protection of company assets as applicable.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exceptional guest services
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- At least 1-year experience running live sound.
- Familiarity with various PC hardware and software platforms desired.
- Understanding of installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Must have strong attention to detail, be highly organized and computer literate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment desired.
- Skills in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to effectively communicate information in a one-on-one situation and small group situations.
- Requires the ability to independently perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, special events, holidays, overtime and on call is required.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis.
