Position Description
The Server Administrator IV's role includes designing, installing, administering, and maintaining multiple, advanced, and/or complex computing systems that are critical to the business operations of an area and/or unit. This includes conducting analysis of specification requirements, as well as, development and implementation of standards and procedures. The position is also expected to assist senior departmental management in determining the strategic IT direction for the area and/or unit and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership. Discretion and sound judgment is expected.

Major/Essential Functions
- Manage TTUHSCEP email and collaboration environment, including user accounts, mailboxes, security settings, and ensuring smooth email flow and system performance, including: User and Mailbox Management, Email Security and Compliance, Mail Flow Management, System Administration and Monitoring the health and performance of the Exchange Online environment. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Implement, administer, upgrade, maintain and secure enterprise applications i.e. Medical Records servers, EMR, PACs LMS, Netscaler, VMWare, XenApp and VDI, ADFS/SAML, Research apps, Windows, Linux, Nutanix, Active Directory, File Servers, DHCP, DNS and domain controllers
- Maintain, administer and monitor Data Centers infrastructure (onsite datacenter and online M365). Ensure services and data are available, reliable, safe and recoverable. This includes Microsoft M365 core services Administration. Continually seek opportunities to improve our TTUHSCEP AD and Exchange Online architecture
- Work after hours and or weekend when required. Monitor network and data center services during on call schedule. Administer, configure and monitor backup, recovery and business continuity infrastructure. Backup and recovery for M365 data and TTUHSCEP.edu Active Directory domain
- Monitor systems and servers performance and troubleshoot issues with application infrastructure and servers. Take responsibility for projects and solutions. Work with internal and external parties. Evaluate, plan, migrate, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 services. Communicate project status, activities, and achievements to supervisor and stakeholders
- Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID administration, monitoring, auditing, enhancing, hardening and troubleshooting
- Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience administering more than two of the following platforms: Microsoft M365 suite or M365 Exchange online, Microsoft Windows Server 2022/2019, VMware Vsphere, Red Hat Linux and Citrix XenApp / Xendesktop, ADFS/SAML
- Enterprise class systems, including Electronic Health Records, Imaging Systems, Virtual desktops, Application Servers, Active Directory Servers, Storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, backups, monitoring products and other data center infrastructure products
- Experience managing and delivering complex data center and/or systems administration projects
- Advanced knowledge and experience implementing infrastructure for clinical and/or dental medicine related systems that are HIPAA compliant, industry standards relevant to data center and/or systems administration

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus five (5) years related full-time paid experience
Licensure/certification
- Datacenter related industry certifications such as Microsoft M365, Microsoft, Vmware VCP or VCTA, Citrix virtualization, Rubrik, Linux and Security+ certifications are preferred
