Senior Product Designer

  • Full-Time (35hpw) Temporary to June 2028 
  • Salary Range $129,464 - $142,665pa + super 
  • Location flexible across Revenue NSW offices – Parramatta is where the team is based  

We are looking for an experienced designer or someone who is ready to step up and develop into a senior role.  

Revenue Digital Fines and Debts is looking for a Senior product designer to join their growing team. We are embarking on a journey to modernise our legacy systems and technology to build a strong foundation for the future. This is an exciting opportunity to work in Revenue Digital and contribute to our digital delivery vision.  

As a Senior product designer, you will contribute to shaping the design strategy and vision as we are modernising our legacy systems, ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers while aligning with our business objectives and support the technical roadmap. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Conduct research to understand diverse user needs, including those of people with disabilities, and incorporate insights into the design process. 
  • Advocate for a customer-centric approach by actively contributing across the full product design life cycle — from discovery and ideation through to delivery. 
  • Ensure accessibility for users with disabilities by adhering to established accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG 2.1). 
  • Create user personas and journey maps to guide the design process and ensure user-centred solutions. 
  • Sketch, wireframe, and prototype design concepts to communicate and test ideas with stakeholders and users. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions are feasible and align with project goals. 
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from users to refine designs and improve the user experience. 
  • Create design specifications and documentation to ensure accurate and consistent implementation. 
  • Participate in agile development processes to meet design requirements within project timelines. 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Understanding of design & accessibility principles, with hands on experience creating wireframes, low fidelity/high fidelity prototypes and user interface designs ready for build. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills showcased in a robust portfolio are a must. 
  • Proficient in Figma and Miro; knowledgeable in WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards 
  • Experience with planning and conducting research, developing personas and user journeys. 
  • Ability to work within strict time constraints. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, passion for learning, and an open-minded approach required. 
  • Familiarity with design governance and systems preferred but not required.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $129,464 base plus superannuation
