Are you a process-driven leader who thrives on enabling marketing teams to work smarter and faster? As the Director, MarTech Capabilities – Marketing Workflow & Operations Capabilities, you’ll lead the design, optimization, and governance of Humana’s marketing processes—ensuring operational excellence across campaign planning, execution, and measurement. You’ll empower teams with the tools, workflows, and insights they need to deliver high-impact, compliant, and member-centric marketing.

This role blends strategic thinking with operational rigor—transforming how marketing gets done at scale. You’ll oversee the roadmap and capability development for systems that support omnichannel communication fulfillment (e.g., print, email, virtual agent, mobile, fax) and centralized tracking of contact history for audit and compliance. As a key leader in Humana’s Marketing Technology and Operations organization, you will drive process innovation and enablement across the full marketing lifecycle.

Capability Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead a team of product managers and owners focused on marketing resource management (MRM), messaging execution and audit, and process transformation

  • Champion the dual-hat model—ensuring team members act as both product managers and embedded practitioners within agile pods

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Drive performance and development across the team, aligning capability growth with enterprise goals

Workflow Strategy, Roadmap Ownership & Platform Enablement

  • Serve as the capability owner for Workfront within Marketing—responsible for roadmap development, configuration, and optimization of workflows that support marketing planning, campaign execution, and compliance approvals

  • Own the roadmap and capability development for systems that support omnichannel communication fulfillment and auditability across print, email, virtual agent, fax, mobile, and other channels. (EMME/EMCON - internal legacy platforms)

  • Partner with enterprise platform teams to support broader Workfront implementations, ensuring alignment with marketing needs and regulatory requirements while contributing to governance and best practices

  • Guide platform architecture decisions and capability development in partnership with IT, Technical Platform Product, and enterprise architecture teams

  • Drive ongoing platform improvements, including automation, metadata strategy, and user enablement across business units

  • Lead the migration and sunset of legacy workflow systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations

Embedded Support, AI Enablement & Best Practices

  • Manage a team that acts as hands-on experts within marketing pods—directly configuring workflows, updating campaign setups, and troubleshooting platform issues in real time

  • Establish and promote best practices for intake, prioritization, approvals, SLAs, and campaign metadata to drive transparency, compliance, and throughput

  • Enable AI/ML-powered capabilities for workflow optimization, predictive routing, and intelligent approvals

  • Partner with compliance, creative, and operations teams to align workflows with regulatory requirements and production needs

Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration

  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, IT, experience transformation, compliance, and external vendors to ensure cohesive delivery and platform optimization

  • Collaborate with procurement to evaluate new technologies, guide buy versus build decisions, and ensure vendor performance and SLA adherence

Measurement, Governance & Innovation

  • Monitor platform performance and adoption, identifying optimization opportunities and influencing roadmap decisions based on evolving use cases

  • Ensure governance and compliance across workflow systems, campaign metadata, and reporting structures

  • Establish performance dashboards and scorecards to measure operational efficiency, throughput, and campaign readiness

  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement across tools, processes, and practices—driving change management and adoption across the enterprise

Your leadership will ensure Humana’s marketing engine runs efficiently, compliantly, and with member impact at the center of every initiative.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business Operations, or related field, or relevant work experience

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, workflow management, or enterprise platform leadership

  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and managing marketing resource management platforms (e.g., Workfront, Aprimo or equivalent)

  • Experience configuring workflow systems and enabling end-to-end campaign and workflow execution

  • Familiarity with fulfillment and audit platforms or similar enterprise data and messaging systems

  • Strong understanding of process design, compliance enablement, and metadata governance

  • Familiarity with agile product development and scaled agile frameworks

  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in workflow optimization, predictive approvals, or intelligent routing

  • Strong strategic thinking, technical acumen, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or certification in MarTech, business process management, or digital operations

  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, insurance, financial services)

  • Experience implementing workflow automation, campaign metadata strategies, and integrated planning systems

  • Background in change management, operational transformation, or enterprise planning

  • Experience modernizing legacy systems and managing platform transitions

  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and technology investments

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$168,000 - $231,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
