The Team
Fidelity Wealth Group – Core Wealth Platform Technology is looking for a passionate Principal Software Development Analyst to drive the development of software solutions for its business-critical Executive Services Product Area. Our engineering team is innovative, diverse, passionate and dedicated. We work in a dynamic agile environment.
As a principal SDA, your primary role will be to understand and analyzing emerging business requirements, translate is to a modern solution design. You will assist and work with architects and engineers to help deliver the solution into production. You will be expected to quickly gain understanding of the business needs and collaborate with the domain and solution architects to define and implement the next generation platform for the Executive Services.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's / Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
Extraordinary problem-solving skills dealing with complex systems design
10+ years of Analysis and solution design in Java, Oracle and CRM environments
3+ years of solutioning and coding experience with one or more of the following:
AWS Cloud environments (DMS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Glue with Scala or Python, RDS like Oracle and PostgreSQL etc.)
Oracle PL/SQL development
Reporting and Analytics platforms like Snowflake
Experience with deploying solutions using REST API development
Proven technical design, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of Data Structures and design patterns
Strategic thinking and critical problem-solving skills
Experience in building/ deploying highly automated, scalable and maintainable platforms and solutions.
Responsibilities
You will help analyze business and technical requirements to design effective Executive Services platform and solutions that can evolve and scale to meet business needs
You will define product solutions by working directly with business and product teams
Evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements or replacements to ensure the systems complies to Fidelity technology and security standards, and meets the business needs
You will actively promote good engineering practices and standards
You will help navigate new technologies and cloud-based deployments to help deliver high value to our business
You will contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
You will perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open Source frameworks.
Coordinate with scrum master’s to ensure timely delivery of software solutions
You will proactively lead process and technology improvement initiatives
You will mentor junior team members
