The Role

Moderna has set an ambitious goal to deliver 10 products in three years. Achieving this requires a workforce that is constantly learning, adapting, and growing. Our Learning team powers this mission by building skills that matter for the future, making development simple and accessible in the flow of work, and creating meaningful ways for employees to learn together.

As Future-Readiness Learning Lead, you will design, develop, and deliver the learning content that equips every Moderna employee with future-critical capabilities: AI and data fluency, change agility, learning agility, problem-solving, and beyond. You will be an individual contributor who partners closely with business leaders, subject-matter experts, vendors, and the broader HR organization to create and curate high-impact, scalable learning assets across digital and live modalities.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Needs Analysis: Conduct rapid, data-driven needs assessments to prioritize learning and talent programs that close the most critical skill gaps.

  • Instructional Design & Curation: Create and curate learning paths, micro-learning nuggets, and interactive resources that blend self-paced, virtual, and live experiences.

  • Delivery & Facilitation: Launch and facilitate cohorts, webinars, and communities of practice; coach SMEs to deliver engaging sessions.

  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Define success metrics, analyze usage and impact data, and iterate content based on learner feedback and business outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HRBPs and enterprise program owners to embed learning resources into talent processes and employees’ day-to-day lives.

  • Vendor & Budget Management: Manage external content partners and production vendors; track spend against budget and value delivered.

  • Thought Leadership: Evangelize future-readiness best practices inside and outside Moderna through demos, case studies, and conference presentations.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

  • 10+ years’ progressive experience in HR, with a track record of diagnosing capability gaps and translating business needs into people solutions.

  • Proven program-design skills—able to translate business needs into solutions and delivery plans.

  • End-to-end program or project leadership (design, launch, measurement) across multiple functions or geographies.

  • Familiarity with core learning & development concepts (e.g., 70-20-10) and the curiosity to build deeper expertise quickly—leveraging external vendors, digital platforms, and AI tools where appropriate.

  • Data fluency and storytelling ability to interpret talent metrics, evaluate program impact, and present findings clearly.

  • Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; able to juggle competing deadlines without direct reports.

  • Consultative influence skills—trusted adviser to senior leaders; able to frame options, gain alignment, and drive action in a matrix environment.

  • Comfort working in an agile, fast-evolving context and pivoting priorities when needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience facilitating meetings or programs.

  • Exposure to learning technologies, coaching platforms, or 360° feedback tools—and enthusiasm for experimenting with AI-enabled solutions.

  • Success scaling global or enterprise-wide HR initiatives and adapting them for specific audiences.

  • Background in biopharma, life sciences, or another highly regulated, innovation-driven industry.

  • A desire to make an impact as part of a high-growth, transformational company that is Bold, Relentless, Curious, and Collaborative.
