As a Network Transportation Manager, you're responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing a transport strategy that optimizes cost, capacity, service, and sustainability for Kimberly-Clark's North American inbound, customer, and inter-mill deliveries. This role encompasses various transportation modes, including truckload, intermodal, rail, and LTL. The Network Transportation will lead key partnerships with Procurement, Supply Planning, Transportation Operations, Solutions, and Analytics. Key deliverables include cost-saving programs, carrier compliance, on-time delivery, and sustainability.
In this role, you will:
Manage and optimize transportation network for the specific region
Conduct risk assessments through predictive analytics to build a transport strategy for current and future markets
Develop analysis and scorecards to communicate with customers and key cross-functional teams, aiming to improve overall supply chain compliance and effectiveness
Lead aspects of Transportation Management, striving for Customer Service Excellence at minimal Total Delivered Cost (TDC)
Own relationships with third-party transportation carriers to ensure service level requirements are met at contracted rates
Develop capacity planning strategy and partner with procurement to ensure adequate transport capacity to support business needs through annual RFP, mini-bid process, or direct negotiation
Influence third-party carriers and other key network stakeholders to adopt and maintain a safety mindset and culture
Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver financial and operational improvements and understanding

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Logistics or Supply Chain
5+ years’ experience related to Transportation Management
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong curiosity and desire to explore and implement innovative technology
Systems and data integration experience
Cross-functional customer supply-chain knowledge and experience
Project Management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects independently
Comfortable with problem-solving technical issues related to systems
Lean experience, including leading simple problem-solving and development of standard work
Preferred:
Working knowledge of Kimberly-Clark's supply chain interactions
Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Blue Yonder Cloud TMS
