Hendrick Motorsports is a dynamic and growing force within the defense industry. We are seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern/ Part time to assist with developing, implementing and optimizing coatings processes and formulations in our manufacturing environment. This role operates within a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, focusing on challenging and impactful projects that directly enhance national security. What You’ll Do:
Hands-On Learning: Troubleshooting issues, conducting tests, maintaining equipment, and documenting processes
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and testing of coated materials to ensure quality standards are met. Participate in root cause analysis for paint-related defects and suggest corrective actions.
Documentation and Administration: Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and production data. Prepare technical reports and data as it relates to projects and assignments.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to refine designs and improve performance while developing your own technical skills.
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field.
Basic understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals and coatings processes
Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license required.
Effective communicator, able to work well in a team setting.
Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or U.S. Person).
