Location: Remote/Hybrid, some amount of overnight travel will be required.

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled ArcGIS Specialist to join our team. The ArcGIS Specialist will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and maintaining geospatial data related to transmission line projects. This role will involve creating and updating maps in ArcGIS to support project planning, execution, and reporting across key activities such as land clearing, side trimming, matting, erosion control installation, takeoffs, and estimation.
Key Responsibilities
- Input, manage, and maintain geospatial data within ArcGIS for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Develop and update project-specific maps to track progress and field activities.
- Support project managers and field teams with accurate mapping data for decision-making.
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of GIS data.
- Generate map-based reports for clients, internal teams, and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Collaborate with field staff to incorporate real-time data into ArcGIS systems.
- Assist with data integration from GPS, drone imagery, and other data collection methods.
- Perform digital takeoffs and assist with project estimations using GIS data and mapping tools.
- Maintain proper documentation and metadata for all GIS datasets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency with ArcGIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related ESRI tools).
- Strong understanding of geospatial data management and mapping principles.
- Experience with GPS data collection and integration into GIS systems preferred.
- Familiarity with takeoff and estimation processes for utility or construction projects is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills for working with project managers, field crews, and clients.
- Experience with utility, transmission line, or energy-related projects is a plus.
